We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Vivid at our Echo Walk scheme in Emsworth. Together, we’ll be delivering 44 high-quality new-build homes, consisting of 38 houses and six maisonettes. This project marks another step forward in our commitment to sustainable and innovative development.

Our Echo Walk homes will feature cutting-edge air source heat pumps and PV cells, ensuring energy efficiency and a reduced carbon footprint. Alongside these sustainable measures, we’re undertaking major infrastructure works, including the installation of a new foul water rising main and creating a Section 278 compliant site access.

 

 
 
 

We're delighted to have been appointed as the Design & Build contractor for a new development of four affordable maisonettes on Nightingale Avenue, Eastleigh, on behalf of Eastleigh Borough Council.

This scheme will deliver high-quality, energy-efficient homes, featuring:

– Ultra low-energy building fabric
– Air source heat pumps
– Dedicated EV charging points for each home

Our scope of work includes demolition and asbestos removal, S278-approved highway works, utilities reinforcement and a significant off-site foul sewer installation.

This project reflects the Council’s continued commitment to delivering sustainable, affordable housing that meets local demand. Construction is set to begin this summer (2025) and we look forward to collaborating with Boulter Mossman as Employer’s Agent.

 

 
 
 

We’re excited to have been appointed by Eastleigh Borough Council as the design & build contractor for the redevelopment of Hanns Way, Eastleigh, where a brownfield site in the town centre will be transformed into four 2-bedroom and two 1-bedroom apartments in a contemporary two- and three-storey block.

This long-awaited scheme follows planning permission obtained by Doswell and represents the positive regeneration of this site. Once complete, it will provide high-quality, energy-efficient homes, supporting both local housing need and the vitality of Eastleigh town centre. 

The development will feature a modern, low-energy building fabric and flexible low-carbon heating and energy solutions.

Our scope of work also includes site preparation, utilities infrastructure, and all associated landscaping and external works. 

This project is part of Eastleigh Borough Council’s wider commitment to delivering challenging urban sites for much-needed housing, and we look forward to bringing this development to life.

 

 
 
 

We’re pleased to confirm that works have started at Latimer Road, Wokingham, where Doswell has been appointed by Abri as design and build contractor to deliver 42 affordable homes.

The development will comprise 38 apartments and four maisonettes, all built to Nationally Described Space Standards with high-quality finishes, cycle storage and landscaped communal space. Located just a short walk from Wokingham Train Station, the scheme will provide much-needed affordable homes in a highly sustainable location.

The homes will feature energy-efficient design and low-carbon technology, including air source heat pump cylinders, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and high-performance building fabric to exceed current Building Regulations. 

Due to its proximity to the railway, the scheme will be delivered in close coordination with Network Rail to ensure safe and efficient construction.

Abri’s commitment to increasing the supply of affordable housing across the South is central to this project, and Doswell is proud to be working with them to bring it forward for the local community.
